As with many things I post, I made it up. I never backed into a person waiting for my spot. But the moral of the story is “if you’re dorky enough to hover trying to get that super close spot, at least give ‘em room to get out.” More comments always welcome here.

I got so much positive reinforcement for being quick to leave my space when someone was waiting that this morning at the gym I made it a point to zip out very promptly. Only problem was I was so zippy I hit the car that was waiting for my space. Just bumper damage but it did cause the airbags to go off in the lady’s SUV. She was putting on lipstick (apparently you need make-up at the gym) and was so startled she drew a line up her cheek. She was not happy with me and used words I can’t print here. So, I dunno, A for effort? Comments here.

OK, now shoe on the other foot. Ever get in your car to leave a space and see someone hovering? What do you do?

This happened at the gym again the other morning and instead of taking my sweet time, relaxing to take a few sips of my protein drink and checking my phone for messages, I just darted out so soccer mom could squeeze into my space with her ginormous minivan.

Thoughts?

Crowded mall lot yesterday. Got stuck behind a car waiting for someone in the early stages of leaving. Finally pulled around them, drove to open area, found another spot, and was walking in the mall door as they were finally getting to park. Does this make me petty that I noticed and considered this as validation of a monstrously high IQ?

Hope everyone had a merry one. For all my grousing about the folks who clutter up the discussion board with pointless attacks to/from same old folks, there’s a thread right now that’s pretty fun. SilvioManuel says it best in the thread: “This is my idea of a perfect thread. Thanx to all.” More of that and less of the other would make my yuletide bright.

Gap has the sweater’s (jackets actually) with built in half glove things. See here. Nellie will find this tremendously exciting. Luckily she’s more of a “stay warm” kinda girl that a jewelry/fancy things trophy wife.

I’ve been trying to keep the Discussion Board kinda light and friendly so that when people come to this site–let’s see, why do they come, oh yeah, to play Freecell–so that 1st timers see a happy community where they can escape the cares of the world. But there are a few folks who just don’t get it and keep trying to re-route the Discussion Board to vent their vitriol. I really don’t have anything against anybody, I just want the DB to fit the site. There’s this whole wide open Internet and many appropriate places to engage in serious conversation and/or vent vitriol. I’m leaving a few threads for a bit just so you can see what nutjobs these folks are.
